Comedian Jen Kirkman is performing May 18-19 at Stand Up, Scottsdale! Comedy Club. Check out Fab AZ’s exclusive interview with Jen Kirkman:

Q: Where are you from?
A: Boston, Massachusetts
Q: How long have you been doing comedy?
A: Been doing stand-up for 15 years. But I don’t count the first three years because I was doing really dumb material about Prozac and pretending to be angry.
Q: How was your first gig? Was it immediately gratifying, or did you bomb at first?
A: The secret to stand-up comedy is that everyone does well on their first gig – otherwise who the hell would get up there and do it a second time? My first gig was great. It was in a room at the back of a bar and it was filled with young twenty-something people and I told a really honest story about how I lied about losing my virginity in high school.
Q: What can comedy goers expect from you at Stand-Up, Scottsdale! this weekend?
A: They can expect me being funny and talking about things that they’re not allowed to talk about at their jobs.
Q: What is the source of inspiration for your comedy?
A: My life! Whether it’s my parents, my divorce or some weirdo that sits next to me on a plane.
Q: How do you keep yourself busy while on tour/traveling/performing?
A: I knock myself out on planes by taking Klonopin and honestly I’m never in a city long enough to do anything. Right now I’m writing a book that’s due in a month so I’ll be busy pulling my hair out writing that before and after my gigs.
Q: What has been your memorable comedy milestones so far?
A: Getting to perform all over the country (and outside the country) after the success of being on Chelsea Lately has been great and getting to do stand-up on TV like on the E! Comedians of Chelsea Lately special as well as on Conan.
Q: If you could receive a sext from one politician, one athlete, and one movie star, who would they be?
A: BILL CLINTON!!!!- I’ll pass on the athlete thing. I have never been attracted to sporty guys – but maybe if I had a time machine I’d want a sext from 2004′s Johnny Damon when he was on the Red Sox but then he went to the Yankees so my legs are forever closed to him, and one movie star, ROBERT DOWNEY JR, even the Robert Downey Jr that was on drugs and in jail. Any incarnation of him would be fine.
Q: If you could buy one thing for everybody in the country, what would it be?
A: I’d buy everyone a television so that no more snotty people come up to me and say things like, “Oh. I don’t own a television.”
Q: What’s an interesting fact that people wouldn’t know about you?
A: I am a classically trained ballet dancer – I can tap dance too and play piano. I haven’t done any of them in years so I suck now but in some alternate universe I’m really tearing it up at Carnegie Hall.

Chicago comic John Roy is a unique voice on modern urban life.
John appeared on Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend” in the 2005-2006 season, and a November 2005 episode of CBS’ “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.” In 2006, John contributed an essay to CollegeHumor.com that was collected in their nationally released book. John appeared in several episodes of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” where he advanced to the semifinals of the reality show/ competition.
The Almost Homeless Comedy Tour is made up of comedian friends and Renaissance Festival performers criss-crossing the country bringing merriment to all.

Rachel Feinstein’s grew up outside Washington DC, the daughter of a civil rights lawyer and a blues musician, giving her a keen eye for the absurd and unjust. She developed her hilarious, character driven style by opening for her father’s blues band as a kid and doing impressions of various loud and jarring relatives.
Rachel has made numerous appearances on “Comedy Central” and can also be seen on episodes of “Comics Unleashed” as well as the ” Just For Laughs” comedy series on TBS.
She’s written for “The Onion” and “Heeb Magazine.” Rachel has voiced various characters on Adult Swim’s “Venture Brothers,” the animated Comedy Central web series, “Samurai Love God” and Spike TV’s web series “Battle Pope.” She has also appeared on VH1′s, “Jewtastic” and CNN’s “Not Just Another Cable News Show.”
International spots include ” Montreal Comedy Festival”, Scotland’s “Glasgow Comedy Festival,” Amsterdam’s “Comedy Factory” and a U.S Military tour in Korea.
Rachel Appeared in “Circus Maximus” and “Turbo Charge”, a mockumentary about ‘The Cars.’ She can be seen on Russell Simmons new “Def Comedy Jam” series for Comedy Central. Rachel also taped her own half hour special, “Comedy Central Presents Rachel Feinstein”. Her character, “Ice Cold Rhoda”, “The Original Gangster Grandma” interviewed Ginuwine as VH1′s hip hop correspondent on their new music special, “The Winningest Winners of 2011″.

In 2010, David finished second place – out of over 1200 comedians entering worldwide – in the prestigious ‘Great Canadian Laugh Off’ contest. Adam Richmond was one of the youngest touring headliners to come out of Canada in the year 2002. His high energy, and fearless stage presence has made him a favorite among colleges and clubs all around North America, as he now makes his way through the American Market. He resides in the entertainment capital of Los Angeles, and was showcased on this past season of ‘Last Comic Standing’ and was recently on NBC’s ‘Last Call’ with Carson Daly. He produces one of the most popular monthly shows called RHOC – ‘Richmond’s House Of Comedy’ once a month at the Hollywood Improv. While also doing regular audience warm-up work for ‘The Best Damn Sports Show Period’ and the TV Guide channel, Adam has also gone global! Not only did he complete a tremendously successful USO tour for the American troops in Japan/Korea/Guam, he’s added Australia to the list and has recently performed at Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Also a writer and an actor, Adam has appeared on Nickelodeon, Fox Sports Net, and several nationally televised commercials, and now can be seen on the TV and buses as the Spokesperson and ‘man on the street’ for the LA METRO. With his fun persona, Richmond has the ability to make an audience feel comfortable in his presence, and has definitely become a candidate as one of the new comedy faces the world will see for many years to come. KT Tatara’s comedy is sometimes brutally honest but always funny. His logic-based opinions provide unique insight into timeless topics such as gender roles and race. KT performs across the United States and is one of the most requested comedians on the college circuit. He lives in Los Angeles where he can be seen nightly at the top comedy clubs.
In 2006, KT was featured as one of the top “New Faces of Comedy” at the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal, Canada. Following his stellar performance there, KT has been invited back to the festival several times. At the 2008 Just For Laughs Festival in Toronto, he starred in the stand-up comedy special “The Colour Of Funny,” which was broadcast in Canada on the CBC network.
As a comedian, KT has made television appearances on Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham,” Showtime’s “Live Nude Comedy,” MTV’s “MVP’s” and the nationally syndicated show, “Comics Unleashed.” As an actor, KT has co-starred on CBS’s “How I Met Your Mother” and has had recurring roles on ABC Family’s “Greek” and Showtime’s “Californication.”
